Points with implementing/deploy Copilot Professional

We do have some points with Microsoft 365 Copilot rollout to units and customers. Any trace or recommendation is welcome.

Principal difficulty is that Copilot isn’t proven in Workplace 365 Apps on the desktops, though all installations are updated in month-to-month channel. How can I make Copilot working in desktop Phrase, Excel, PowerPoint?

Extra Information:

Add-on Copilot Licenses (“Microsoft 365 Copilot”) are bought and assigned to customers in Workplace 365 greater than 48 hours in the past. All customers have O365 Customary licenses, the Microsoft 365 Apps are on month-to-month channel and in accordance config.workplace.com all updated on their units.

What “appears” to work with Microsoft 365 Copilot (undecided, although):

  • In portal.workplace.com, the Copilot icon is seen and opens “Microsoft 365 Chat” with the colourful Copilot icon. What isn’t clear to me, do we actually have Microsodft 365 Copilot right here? There may be nowhere a sign that it’s totally different from the free model. There may be nonetheless, a textual content that claims “Your copilot for work”. Does that imply that is the precise Copilot?
  • When opening https://copilot.microsoft.com with edge browser, ensuring to be logged in with an account that has Copilot licensed, the header “Copilot” and under the textual content “for Microsoft 365” is seen. This appears the licensed model of Copilot, proper?
  • Copilot appears to work with all internet functions I examined (Outlook OWA, Phrase, Excel, PowerPoint)

What does not appear to work:

  • Trying on the Workplace 365 Apps put in on the Home windows PC’s, Copilot is to not be seen. There isn’t a “Replace License” button, there isn’t any setting within the spellchecking part (as talked about in some articles I discovered).
  • I did have one Workplace 365 Apps set up which was on the half-year channel, modified that to month-to-month channel and after the replace there was a “Replace License” button. After clicking, Copilot appeared in Phrase, Excel, Powerpoint. Good. However now, how can I set off the opposite installations? After I do test for updsate on the currrent machines in month-to-month channel, they don’t have something to replace.
  • Query: Which replace channel will get Copilot? All of them (over time?). Or simply the precise channel now and the month-to-month/half-yearly channels on the subsequent replace?
  • Copilot doesn’t work in the usual desktop Outlook, however solely within the “new” Outlook. Right?

Thanks

Dan
